Hey guys, I’m Clay. I’m not even sure if this will come together, but it feels like time to make a plan, so here goes…
I’m not really lazy, but I’d like to be! In reality, I am not really a part of this community yet. I volunteered at Bearrison Street Fair this year and met some nice men, but I haven’t been out much since. I’m bear-shaped, retired, potentially kind of fun—and if you’re reading this, I’m willing to cause this to come together with experienced guys or other first-timers, any age, who are cheerful, curious, and committed to making things happen.
What I’m looking for is 1.) a ride from SF (and back), and 2.) a centralized shelter situation… and I wouldn’t mind a little coordinational hand-holding if you’re up for it.
I can drive, and since I’m no longer a partier, I’m great at sharing the driving or being the designated driver when needed… but I don’t own a car, and I don’t really want to rent one.
It would be so great to join (or cause) a shared housing situation with a friendly group who also enjoys budget-friendly solutions, making a few meals in, but who maybe aren’t rugged enough to sleep on the ground and bathe in the river.
I’m up for going to the whole event, and would actually love to sign up to volunteer to welcome guys as they arrive… but that would mean arriving early!
Am I asking too much?
I’m not attached to any of it happening.
