background: when the lazy bear week schedule is finalized, the volunteer shifts are allotted and the volunteer coordinator sends out emails in batches. first to the repeat volunteers who have a great track record with the lazy bear fund, then a few weeks later to the new individuals who’ve said they want to volunteer.
when is the schedule finalized? typically 60 days prior to the event (for many different reasons including permitting).
